Continuity Editing

The aim of continuity editing is to make the work for the editors seem invisible, that when an audience watch a television programme/film the editing is continuous and not noticeable. This helps get the viewer more involved within the TV programme.
180 degree rule has to be when to characters are facing each other and the camera angle can only move around the 180angle and not passed it. If it did break the rule then it would confuse the audience and it would have to explain it in another shot.
